Actor Ehab Fahmy, head of the Artistic House of Theatre, has assigned director Sameh Bassouni, head of the El-Taliaa Theatre troupe, to direct the grand opening ceremony of Masr Theater on Emad El Din Street.
The theater is scheduled to reopen in September under the patronage of Professor Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture, and Dr. Ayman El-Shiwy, Head of the Theatre Sector.

Ehab Fahmy said that the reopening of Masr Theater is part of the Ministry of Culture’s efforts to revive the historic theater venue and strengthen its role in supporting and revitalizing theatrical activity.

The team includes writer Yousry Hassan, poet Tarek Ali, composer Ahmed Hamdy Raouf, and choreographer Diaa Shafik.

The opening ceremony is titled “Emad El Din Broadway” and will run for approximately 40 minutes.

More Than 60 Dancers to Take Part
More than 60 dancers will participate in the artistic celebration, alongside a number of theatrical and performance segments designed to highlight the cultural and theatrical significance of Emad El Din Street.
Sameh Bassouni confirmed that the opening ceremony will include several artistic surprises. The names of the participating performers will be announced at the appropriate time after all arrangements for the event have been completed.
