Director Mohamed Abdel Aziz, recipient of the Golden Pyramid Lifetime Achievement Award, and Egyptian international star Khaled El Nabawy, recipient of the Faten Hamama Excellence Award, participated in a memorable photoshoot on the red carpet at the 46th Cairo International Film Festival 🎥✨.

The festival also witnessed the premiere of the Egyptian-Palestinian film "Zayel 3ana Ard," directed by Mai Saad and Ahmed Aldenf, competing in the international section. Guests captured numerous memorable moments on the red carpet 📸❤️. Since director Ahmed Aldenf could not attend due to being in Gaza, he joined online via live broadcast, while director Mai Saad held a photo of her colleague in tribute.

"Zayel 3ana Ard" tells the story of the devastation caused by Israeli aggression in Gaza. The "Free Gaza Circus" troupe faces challenges after relocating from northern Gaza to the south. Despite the looming presence of death, their performances become acts of resistance, bringing hope and joy to children in shelters and on the streets 🎪🌟.

This year, the festival presents a diverse lineup of films, including 14 in the international competition, 15 in the official out-of-competition section, 8 in the Critics' Week, 9 in the Arab Cinema Horizons, and 24 short films, alongside special screenings, international panorama, midnight shows, Cairo classics, and restored Egyptian films 🇪🇬🎬.

Jury members include top directors, actors, and professionals from various countries, such as Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan heading the official competition, Italian editor Simona Paggi, Chinese director Guan Hu, Egyptian director Nadine Khan, Egyptian actress Basma, Tunisian director Leyla Bouzid, and Romanian director Bogdan Morisanu, along with juries for Critics' Week, Arab Cinema Horizons, short films, and documentaries 🏆🎥.

Founded in 1976, the Cairo International Film Festival is the first international film festival in the Arab world and Africa, accredited by FIAPF, held annually under the Ministry of Culture, combining artistic creativity with professional development and promoting Arab cinema globally 🌍🎞️.
