Mohamed Abdelmonem, the defender for Nice FC and the Egyptian national team, spoke about his new experience in European football, explaining the key differences between his career at Al Ahly and his current professional journey.

In television statements, Abdelmonem said: "Al Ahly is a great club, not only in Egypt but across Africa and the Middle East. I grew up within its walls for 15 years, and during that time, I experienced the best moments of my football life. Wearing the Al Ahly shirt is a great honor for any player, and it will always have a special place in my heart, no matter what I achieve in my career."

He added: "Al Ahly has all the elements of success, from a professional management team to supportive fans and a rich history. However, the biggest difference I've noticed with Nice is the professional lifestyle in Europe. Here, everything is geared towards serving the player and focusing solely on football. There are no distractions, and the environment is fully prepared for hard work and improving performance."

He continued: "At Nice, players live a true professional lifestyle: healthy nutrition, early bedtimes, and complete discipline both on and off the field. The difference is clear compared to what happens in Egypt, where sometimes training sessions are delayed, which opens the door to options that might affect a player's routine and make him stay up late or be less committed in general."

Abdelmonem pointed out that the professional environment in Europe helps build a player's personality both on and off the field. He explained that most of his teammates at Nice are in the age range of 18 to 24, creating a competitive atmosphere and a youthful team spirit that pushes everyone to develop constantly.

On another note, Abdelmonem recently suffered a serious injury during his team's match against Paris Saint-Germain in Round 31 of Ligue 1. After undergoing necessary medical tests and scans, Nice announced that the player had suffered a cruciate ligament tear.

The French club confirmed in an official statement that their medical team would oversee Abdelmonem's treatment process entirely, providing the necessary medical and moral support to ensure his return to the field in the best possible condition. Nice's management emphasized its full commitment to supporting the player during his recovery journey, wishing him a speedy recovery and a quick return to his previous level.

Abdelmonem is one of the most prominent Egyptian talents to have recently moved to European football, having showcased excellent performances with Al Ahly and the Egyptian national team, attracting the attention of several European clubs before Nice secured the deal.

He concluded his remarks by reaffirming his determination to come back stronger than ever, stating that injury is a part of every professional player's journey, and he will do his best to return to the pitch, succeed with Nice, and continue his European dream.
