Mohamed Sayed Bashir clarified the situation through a post on his Facebook account, stressing the importance of verifying information before publishing or sharing news, particularly reports involving deaths, which can cause unnecessary shock and distress to people who have no connection to the story.
Mohamed Sayed Bashir wrote: “Everyone, there are reports on many pages and websites saying that my son has passed away, but I am not married and I do not have children. The confusion happened because my name was mistaken for that of the writer Sayed Bashir. The news is about him, not me.”
