Mostafa Kamel, head of the Musicians’ Union, announced the release date of his new song "Homa Keda" in a video shared on his official Instagram account, stating that it will be available on all platforms on Saturday at 7 PM.
This announcement comes amid ongoing conflicts within the Musicians’ Union, as artist Helmy Abdel-Baqi, the union’s second deputy, and the union’s secretary general were referred for investigation due to disputes with Kamel and issues related to housing files. Tensions have risen among union members and the general assembly.
Branch heads of the Musicians’ Union had earlier requested authorization for the head and board members to take all legal and disciplinary measures, following the emergence of new files regarding union management. They emphasized rejecting any attempts to undermine Kamel, who has achieved significant accomplishments since assuming his position less than three years ago.
