In a highly significant meeting, the heads of the Musicians Syndicate branches gathered with the syndicate’s president, Mostafa Kamel, and unanimously authorized him to take all legal, disciplinary, and criminal measures against members involved in violations that threaten the unity and integrity of the syndicate.

This decision comes amid rising tension within the syndicate, following the re-opening of several files described as critical and alarming, accompanied by coordinated smear campaigns on social media targeting the syndicate and its leadership.

During the meeting, the branch heads expressed their strong dissatisfaction with these attacks, insisting that they constitute a direct attempt to undermine the achievements accomplished by Mostafa Kamel during his three years in office, including:
⭐ Increasing syndicate revenues to over 600 million EGP
⭐ Raising pension benefits
⭐ Upgrading the medical care system
⭐ Enhancing member services across Egypt
⭐ Strengthening regulations to prevent administrative violations

🔸 Spokesperson Tarek Mortada emphasized that what is being spread on social media by a small group of dissenters is a violation of the law and the syndicate’s internal regulations.
🔸 He also stressed the importance of resolving any disputes institutionally rather than publicly escalating them, stating:
“There is absolutely no justification for these conspiracies. Many of those attacking today were praising the syndicate’s progress yesterday.”
