🎵 Nearly twenty years after its original release, "Akthar" by Assala has become the focus of a legal controversy involving composer Tamer Ali and Rotana.

⚖️ Tamer Ali has filed legal action seeking EGP 2 million in compensation, claiming that Rotana authorized Turkish singer Ebru Gündeş to perform the song without obtaining his approval.

📄 According to his legal representative, the composer is also requesting that the court order the suspension of the song's availability on YouTube and other digital music platforms until the dispute is resolved.

🎤 Originally released in 2006 as part of Assala's album "Hayaty," the song became one of her most successful romantic hits.

📝 "Akthar" was written by Mohamed Refaie, composed by Tamer Ali, and released on July 25, 2006. Its music video was filmed in Prague, Czech Republic, under the direction of Tarek El Erian.

🌍 The dispute has reignited discussions about copyright and intellectual property rights in the music industry, particularly regarding international adaptations and new recordings of well-known songs.

The legal proceedings are still ongoing, with the final decision expected to determine the future use of one of Assala's most celebrated songs.
