Actor Omar El-Fishawy revealed emotional insights into his family life with his late parents, renowned actors Farouk El-Fishawy and Somaya El-Alfy, highlighting the strong bond that remained between them despite their separation.

In televised statements, Omar explained that neither he nor his brother Ahmed ever felt the impact of their parents’ separation, as both parents were keen on maintaining close family ties. He noted that the family gathered every Friday, turning it into a regular family day that strengthened their connection.

Omar added that his parents remained close friends throughout their lives, stressing that his mother, Somaya El-Alfy, was a constant source of support for his father, especially during times of illness and emotional hardship. He emphasized her deep love for him and her habit of always speaking kindly about him.

Meanwhile, actor Ahmed El-Fishawy mourned his late mother with deeply emotional words, expressing his sorrow and love in a heartfelt farewell that reflected the strong bond between them.

Somaya El-Alfy passed away at a hospital in the Mohandessin area after a long battle with illness, marking the end of a rich artistic journey that spanned decades in Egyptian drama and cinema.

She had undergone eight surgical operations due to a rare medical condition and previously revealed that her former husband, Farouk El-Fishawy, accompanied her during her treatment abroad. Following her health struggles, she chose to step away from the spotlight after her last artistic work in 2010.
