The Awladona Foundation will organize the 10th edition of the Awladona International Forum for Arts of People with Disabilities from September 17 to 24 under the theme "Awladona Forum... Art Brings Us Together." The event is chaired by Soheir Abdel Kader and continues its mission of promoting inclusion and empowering people with disabilities through the arts. Previous editions have been held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

This year's edition celebrates ten years of cultural and humanitarian achievements, reinforcing the forum's position as one of the world's leading events dedicated to supporting and integrating people with disabilities through artistic expression.

Palestine as Guest of Honor

The 10th edition places Palestine at the center of its cultural program as the Guest of Honor, highlighting solidarity with the Palestinian people through art and culture.

Palestinian filmmaker Rashid Masharawi will present two films, including "The Clown of Gaza," followed by a special discussion featuring the director and the film's lead actor Alaa Miqdad. The program also includes performances by the Canaan Palestinian Folklore Ensemble and the Children of Gaza Choir, celebrating Palestinian identity and demonstrating the power of art to inspire hope beyond adversity.

International Participation

The forum will feature an extensive international cinema program with films from South Africa, France, Martinique, Germany, the United States, Sweden, and Italy.

Live performances will bring together artistic groups from Argentina, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Tanzania, China, Russia, the United States, and Egypt, showcasing the richness of global cultures through music, dance, and theatrical performances.

Egyptian and Sudanese Contributions

Egypt's General Authority for Cultural Palaces will present four theatrical and artistic performances from Cairo and several governorates.

Sudan will participate with a special cultural program featuring traditional handicrafts, visual arts, performances, and creative workshops, further enriching the forum's international and multicultural atmosphere.

Supporting Young Filmmakers

As part of its commitment to nurturing future talent, the forum will screen 79 films produced by students from Egyptian public and private universities and media institutes—the largest student participation in the forum's history.

Participating institutions include Cairo University, Ain Shams University, Benha University, Nahda University, Ahram Canadian University, MSA University, Galala University, CIC University, Alexandria Higher Institute of Media, and the International Academy for Engineering and Media Sciences.

Upcoming Press Conference

The forum's official press conference is scheduled for August 29 at El Hanager Theater, where organizers will unveil the complete program, announce the honored guests, and reveal the major artistic, cultural, and humanitarian events planned for the anniversary edition.

Over the past decade, the Awladona International Forum has established itself as a global platform that combines art with humanity, championing inclusion and proving that creativity knows no boundaries. The forum continues to strengthen cultural dialogue among nations while empowering people with disabilities through artistic expression.
