Their relationship began when Rabab joined Egyptian Television as an assistant director. Ahmed Tawfik personally trained her for nearly seven months, helping her master directing techniques before their professional relationship gradually turned into love and marriage.
Following their marriage, Rabab became the executive director on many of his productions, creating a successful artistic partnership that lasted throughout his life.
One of the most touching stories occurred during the production of "Ya Ward Meen Yeshtreek." Rabab wanted Ahmed Tawfik to appear in a small role but felt embarrassed to ask him directly. Actress Samira Ahmed eventually conveyed the request, and Tawfik immediately accepted, asking his wife why she had hesitated to tell him herself.
He also supported Rabab during the demanding production of "One Thousand and One Nights," often spending long hours supervising the editing room while she handled the live broadcast and production responsibilities.
