Born Ali Mohamed Khalil Salem, he adopted the stage name Ali El-Kassar after his mother’s family name. He began his artistic journey in 1908 with the Dar Al-Tamthil Al-Zeinabi troupe, later joining George Abyad’s troupe where he met Amin Sedky, forming a joint troupe in 1916.
They later moved to Majestic Theatre on Emad El-Din Street, the leading comedy theatre of its time, until their separation in 1925 🎭✨.

Throughout his career, Ali El-Kassar performed over 200 operettas and 160 theatrical shows, with plays written by renowned authors like Badi’a Khairy and Hamed El-Sayed, entertaining audiences in Egypt and abroad with a mix of comedy and popular art 🎬🌟.
