Ruby Bids Farewell to Her Daughter’s Father with Heartfelt Words After His Sudden Death
Director Samah Abdel Aziz passed away this morning after a battle with illness. Ruby mourns him with heartfelt words. The funeral was held at Al-Shorta Mosque, and the memorial service will take place on Sunday.
Actress Ruby has mourned the passing of her ex-husband and father of her daughter, director Samah Abdel Aziz, who died this morning after suffering from blood poisoning. He had been hospitalized for over 10 days, but his condition showed no improvement.
Ruby shared a photo of him on her official account, accompanied by a heartfelt prayer:
"Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return. The great director Samah Abdel Aziz has passed away.
O Allah, have mercy on him, forgive him, pardon him, honor his abode, widen his grave, and cleanse him with water, snow, and ice."

Funeral and Memorial Arrangements
The body was transported this morning from the hospital to Al-Shorta Mosque in Fifth Settlement for the funeral prayer, attended by family members and a number of close actors.
The Cinema Syndicate announced that the memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 13, in the Rawda and Kawthar Halls at the same mosque.
A Distinguished Career of Notable Works
Samah Abdel Aziz was known for his unique directorial style and presented a series of successful social and comedic films, including:
El Farah, Sarkhet Namla, Teta Raheeba, Tattah, Had Same’ Haga, Hassan Tayara, Asad w Arba’ Ottat, and Ahlam El-Fata El-Ta’esh.
He also directed several successful TV series such as Kheyana Ahd, U-Turn, and Shahadet Mo’amalat Atfal starring Mohamed Henedy, which aired in Ramadan 2025.
His last cinematic work was the film El-Dashash, starring Mohamed Saad, which he had recently completed filming
