His post came amid ongoing discussions surrounding a parliamentary proposal introduced by Senator Sherine Sabry, who intends to replace the title "Housewife" with "Generation Maker" on Egypt's national ID cards.
Supporters believe the new title better reflects the essential role women play in raising children, shaping values, and contributing to society through future generations. Others, however, argue that the traditional title already carries dignity and respect and that changing terminology does not necessarily improve women's social or economic status.
