Actor Saleh Bakri thanked the people of Askar and Nablus camps for organizing the memorial of his late father Mohammad Bakri, saying:

Mohammad Bakri’s Artistic Journey
The Palestinian actor Mohammad Bakri passed away at the age of 72. He studied acting and Arabic literature in 1973, launching a prolific career that spanned theaters and films across Europe and North America, including the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Canada.
Bakri remained steadfast in preserving his Palestinian identity, collaborating with Palestinian directors such as Michel Khleifi, Rachid Masharawi, and Ali Nassar.
In the 1990s, he shone on stage at Al-Qasba Theater in Ramallah, presenting solo performances, most notably “Bakri Monologue”, which included a reinterpretation of Emile Habibi’s novel “The Optimist”, delivering a profound and influential artistic experience.
