Actress Samira Abdel Aziz opened up about her recent disagreement with actor Mohamed Ramadan, following her refusal to participate in one of his projects.

She explained in a television interview that she declined the role of “thug’s mother”, stating that such roles do not align with her artistic legacy or the image that the audience associates with her. She added:
"He insulted me, and I forgave him, but I don’t like his roles, and I won’t play the role of a thug’s mother because the audience calls me the mother of greatness."

Abdel Aziz emphasized that her respect for her art and her audience was the main reason for her refusal, highlighting her past portrayals of legendary figures such as the mother of Imam Al-Tirmidhi, Abu Hanifa, Umm Kawkab Al-Sharq, and Abdel Wahab.

On his part, Mohamed Ramadan announced the resolution of the conflict, praising Samira Abdel Aziz as a “distinguished artist” and expressing admiration for her talent and career.

Samira Abdel Aziz also mentioned that she recently attended one of Ramadan’s plays and expressed her appreciation for his work, describing him as a great artist who masters his craft.
