Three years after their high-profile separation in 2022, Colombian star Shakira and former Barcelona player Gerard Piqué have resumed direct communication, according to Vanitatis magazine. The report notes that the couple now communicates via phone and WhatsApp, without intermediaries, in what has been described as a "calm and friendly" shift.

Previously, all communication had been routed through Shakira’s brother, Tonino, due to tensions following Piqué’s infidelity and the public appearance of Clara Chía in his life. Shakira had also expressed her feelings through songs such as Music Sessions Vol. 53 with Bizarrap, which contained pointed messages about Piqué and his family, becoming a symbol of female empowerment after the split.

For the first time, Vanitatis reported positive remarks from Shakira about Piqué, praising their children Sasha and Mila’s discipline and attributing it to their father’s guidance: "A father is also disciplined; no one can succeed in their career without discipline… and that’s non-negotiable."

The renewed communication is focused solely on coordinating matters related to raising their children and managing life between Barcelona and Miami. The tone is now calm and respectful, moving away from previous tensions. This development signals a deeper family stability and a fresh start for Shakira and Piqué, prioritizing the well-being of their children.
