Popular singer Amr Abu Zeid announced the passing of his father, Al-Hajj Abu Zeid. The funeral prayer was held after noon prayer at Al-Sayyida Nafisa Mosque, and he was buried in the family cemetery in Al-Sayyida Aisha.

Fellow artist Mahmoud El Leithy also shared his condolences on Facebook, saying: "Our condolences to Amr Abu Zeid and Imad Abu Zeid. There is no deity but Allah, our Prophet Muhammad is His messenger."

Amr Abu Zeid reflected on his artistic journey, expressing gratitude for his successes in 2025, including concerts in Carthage, participation in the Egyptian Super Cup in the UAE, and the success of his hit song “Ana Al-Batal.”

He shared memories of his father, who had initially tried to steer him away from singing during his studies for fear it might affect his education. Abu Zeid cited influences from iconic Egyptian popular music stars such as Adaweya and Hassan El Asmar and expressed his ambition to perform globally, inspired by singer Hakim.

Among his most successful songs are "Am Ya Sayyad" and "Atawee," which brought him wide acclaim. He emphasized that artistic awards serve as continuous motivation to plan his future projects.
