Striking Poster Unveiled for the First Mansoura International Children’s Film Festival
The Mansoura International Children’s Film Festival reveals a poster for its inaugural edition, capturing the festival’s vision through a child’s perspective.
The Mansoura International Children’s Film Festival has unveiled the poster for its first edition, scheduled from February 9 to 14. Designed by artist Hisham Ali, the poster embodies the festival’s philosophy and its motto, “Cinema Through Children’s Eyes,” placing children at the center of the cinematic experience.
The poster depicts two children standing on a film strip, gazing at a beam of light breaking through darkness, symbolizing cinema as a world of imagination, discovery, and hope. The serene palette of blues and turquoise reflects depth and clarity, while the contrast with white light emphasizes visual focus and a dreamlike quality.
Through the poster, Hisham Ali conveyed his vision of children’s cinema as a space of innocence and imagination, using minimalism, symbolism, and open composition to offer viewers a reflective and emotional experience beyond a mere advertisement.
The Mansoura International Children’s Film Festival is the first of its kind in Egypt’s Delta governorates, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Dakahlia Governorate, and the Syndicate of Filmmakers. The festival includes two international competitions—short films and animated films—as well as a local competition featuring films made by children from across Egypt.
