In an honest and emotional interview on “Al-Hayah,” actress Tessier Fahmy revealed her artistic philosophy, emphasizing that she never accepted roles for the sake of fame or exposure. For her, artistic integrity and moral standards always come first. ✨

She Refused the National Theatre

Fahmy explained that she refused a position at the National Theatre in 1977 because it would have forced her into roles she didn’t choose. She stated clearly:

“I never compromised for fame. What matters is what I present, not how long I’ve been absent.”

This reveals a strong stance on artistic independence, showing that an artist should never sell their principles.

A 40-Year Marriage That Started in an Elevator

She spoke about her marriage, which lasted 40 years, and how the relationship grew gradually through repeated encounters. Her husband, Dr. Ahmed Abu Bakr, described her as a kind and loving person who always supports him. ❤️

She added:

“I thank God for my marriage, and I hope we continue our life together.”

A Potential Comeback

Host Amr El Leithy hinted at a possible return to acting for both Fahmy and her husband, which excited her fans.

No Biological Children, But a Daughter in Spirit

Fahmy spoke about not having children, explaining that her husband had a daughter when they married, and she became a mother figure to her, describing the bond as deep and loving.

“I never wished for something I didn’t have. I’m satisfied with my life.”

Facing Envy and Life Lessons

She admitted being exposed to envy and that the real enemy is “a failed, resentful person.” She said age is not a problem but a source of wisdom. Her biggest regret was leaving acting for 13 years.

“My emotions sometimes betray me in sadness, and I can be easily deceived.”

After 200 Works, She Feels Fulfilled

After more than 200 works, Fahmy said she feels satisfied and happy to be back in the studio, ready to continue her artistic journey.
