Jan Rams, the young child, became a trending topic on social media yesterday after posting a picture on his personal account, commenting on the school holiday: "School canceled tomorrow due to bad weather." The post quickly gained significant interaction but, unfortunately, also led to harsh verbal attacks from some followers, sparking controversy among social media users.
In an interview, his mother explained that the family was completely shocked by the abuse Jan faced. She clarified that the post was innocent, simply expressing his happiness about the holiday. She said, "My son posted about the school holiday, and he didn’t mean anything bad. However, he was shocked by the offensive comments and harsh insults. His father decided to take legal action against those who insulted him, and we have requested social media companies to delete the comments to protect him from any negative psychological impact."
The problem wasn't limited to just the offensive comments. Rumors about Jan's death had also spread recently, causing the family to experience shock and sadness. His mother added, "These rumors made me very sad for my son. He is a nine-year-old child—how could anyone spread false news about such a young child? We are now planning to file a legal complaint against those who spread these rumors immediately, and his father will take legal actions against any page or website that published those lies."
Regarding Jan's latest artistic work, his most recent appearance was in the film "Fasl Min Al-Lahazat Al-Laziza" (A Break from Delicious Moments), in which he starred alongside the renowned actor Hisham Magdy. The film also featured a group of actors such as Hana Zahid, Mohamed Tharwat, Bayoumi Fouad, and others. Written by Sherif Najib and directed by Ahmed El-Gendy, the film was well-received by the audience, where Jan stood out with his remarkable performance and extraordinary talent despite his young age.
The family confirmed that they will continue to protect Jan from any negative influences that may harm his mental health, while also emphasizing the need for accountability for anyone who harms children or spreads false rumors about them.
