The Egyptian Cinema Professions Syndicate, headed by its board of directors, mourned the passing of the great director Zaki El-Naggar in an official statement published today. The statement said:
"O tranquil soul, return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him], and enter among My [righteous] servants and enter My Paradise." (Quranic verse)
The syndicate expressed its deep sorrow over the loss of one of the pioneers in the cinematic field, praying to God to grant the deceased His vast mercy and to inspire patience and solace to his family and loved ones in this great loss.
The syndicate also noted that the funeral ceremony will be held today, Wednesday, May 21, 2025, and that the late director will be buried in the family cemetery. We ask God to envelop the deceased in His vast mercy and grant him entry into His spacious paradise.
