The Pyramids First Team Returns to Cairo After Orlando Pirates Clash
The first football team delegation of Pyramids FC has returned to Cairo from South Africa following their encounter with Orlando Pirates in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-final, which was held in Johannesburg. The team headed straight to O.R. Tambo International Airport after the match, with the flight to Cairo taking approximately 12 hours.
Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurčić, head coach of Pyramids, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, praising the players for their strong level of play and fighting spirit during the match, which ended in a goalless draw. In the post-match press conference, he stated that Pyramids was closer to winning and that the team will fight to score and secure qualification in the return leg in Cairo.
Jurčić emphasized that the coaching staff will immediately begin preparations for the upcoming encounter, noting that the team will take advantage of the home field and fan support to achieve victory over Orlando Pirates and reach the final of the tournament for the first time in its history.
Pyramids is preparing to host Orlando Pirates on Friday, April 25, at 9:00 PM Cairo time at the Air Defense Stadium in the return leg of the semi-final. The team aims to build on the away result, playing cautiously yet pressing offensively to score the decisive goal for qualification.
It is worth noting that Pyramids FC displayed confidence and strong organization during the first leg and successfully limited the danger posed by the South African side. A large fan presence is expected at the return leg to support the team in this crucial stage.
