🎥 The Venice International Film Festival has revealed the official lineup for its 83rd edition, scheduled to take place on Lido di Venezia from September 2 to September 12, 2026.
Widely regarded as the world's oldest film festival, Venice continues to showcase outstanding international cinema while serving as a major launchpad for films heading into the global awards season.
The festival will once again be led by artistic director Alberto Barbera, while acclaimed American actress Maggie Gyllenhaal will chair the main competition jury.
Among the films screening Out of Competition are Scherzetto (Trick), Arrested Memory, Let Us Through, Dear Ancestors, No Pain, and Jupiter, alongside the documentary The Road to Jericho.
The Horizons (Orizzonti) section will feature Big Little Thing and A Common Story, highlighting emerging cinematic voices and innovative storytelling.
Meanwhile, International Critics' Week will present Zoom In, Zoom Out, while the Venice Days program includes Anatomy of a Portrait, The Cat Wakes Up And Yawns; Then Love, and the special screening Carla Lonzi, A Feminist Story.
The festival will officially open with the world premiere of Ink, directed by Academy Award-winning British filmmaker Danny Boyle, signaling a strong emphasis on auteur-driven international cinema.
