The body of author Iyad Saleh’s father has just arrived at the Mustafa Mahmoud Mosque in the Mohandessin district, in preparation for the funeral prayer, ahead of his burial in the family cemetery.

The mosque witnessed the attendance of several family members and close friends, along with some others from outside the artistic community, who gathered to offer their condolences and support Iyad Saleh during this time of grief.

Earlier, Iyad Saleh had announced the passing of his father on his official Facebook page, writing: "Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return. My father, Mr. Saleh Youssef Sharaf El-Din, has passed away." He also mentioned that the funeral prayer would be held on Monday after the noon prayer at Mustafa Mahmoud Mosque in Mohandessin.
