According to investigators, drone flights from the South into central Pyongyang were not accidental incidents but part of an orchestrated plan to provoke North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and set the stage for imposing martial law.

Prosecutors stated that the evidence aligns with earlier allegations made by North Korea, which claimed that South Korean drones dropped anti-regime leaflets inside its territory last October. This prompted a rare and harsh statement from Kim Yo Jong, the influential sister of Kim Jong Un.
North Korea’s response was limited to non-military escalation, including cutting off roads and railway lines to the South and destroying two routes inside its territory.
