The Ministry of Interior has intensified its efforts to pursue individuals seeking to exploit the General Secondary Certificate exams for illicit gain and undermine the educational process. In an official statement, the Ministry announced the arrest of the person managing a social media account, who had claimed he could leak the secondary school exams in exchange for money. The suspect was tracked through precise security monitoring conducted alongside the exam sessions, in order to safeguard their integrity and prevent any attempts at cheating or manipulation.

The Ministry explained that the suspect’s identity was confirmed and he was apprehended during a security operation. Confronted with the evidence, he confessed that he committed the offense to obtain financial profit by exploiting the anxiety of students and their families. The Ministry affirmed that it will continue to counter such attempts, protect the educational system from illegal practices, and take all legal measures against the suspect, referring him to the Public Prosecution for investigation.

Separately, the General Directorate for the Protection of Public Morals within the Specialized Police Sector uncovered another case involving the online publication of indecent content. Acting on precise information and intelligence, they identified a content creator residing in the jurisdiction of the Shebin El-Kom Police Station in Monufia Governorate, who had recorded and posted videos offensive to public decency across several social media platforms to generate illicit earnings by boosting view counts and attracting followers.
The Interior Ministry reported that, after completing the necessary legal procedures, the suspect was targeted and arrested. Authorities seized two mobile phones and four laptops used in his criminal activity. Technical examination of the devices revealed evidence of his involvement in producing and distributing the offensive videos. During initial questioning, he admitted to committing the acts to secure material profit, exploiting the popularity of social media to promote his content. Official reports were filed and legal action was initiated against him in preparation for referral to the competent investigative authorities.
