The General Authority for Meteorology has issued its weather forecast for Tuesday, July 15, 2025, as the country braces for a new heatwave. Summer is progressing steadily, bringing with it high temperatures and dense humidity across most regions.
During daylight hours, the weather is expected to be hot to extremely hot with a heavy, humid feel. Nighttime temperatures tend to be relatively moderate, but humidity remains noticeable, especially in the early morning. Low and medium-level clouds may occasionally appear over limited areas extending from northern Egypt to Greater Cairo and South Sinai.
A dense morning mist is expected to form between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM, spreading from the north of the country down to northern Upper Egypt. This fog could significantly affect visibility on roads leading to and from the northwestern coasts, through the Canal Cities and Central Sinai.
Along coastal areas, particularly around Salloum and Marsa Matrouh, winds will be active, ranging between 30 and 45 km/h. Wave heights are expected to be between 1.5 and 2.25 meters. The Red Sea will see moderate conditions, with waves between 1.5 and 2 meters.
In Greater Cairo, winds will be active at around 26 km/h, with humidity ranging from 35% to 80%. Partly cloudy skies are expected in the morning, clearing to sunny conditions by midday. The Delta region and Canal Cities will experience similar weather, with winds around 28 km/h and humidity levels between 40% and 85%.
The northern coasts (both eastern and western) and Central Sinai will see moderate winds around 26 km/h, with partly cloudy skies and humidity ranging from 50% to 90%. South Sinai and the Red Sea Mountains will have similar wind speeds of 28 km/h, partly cloudy conditions, and humidity between 30% and 65%.
In northern Upper Egypt, wind activity will reach 24 km/h, while wind speeds in the south may reach up to 30 km/h at times, with humidity ranging from 15% to 60%.

Sharm El Sheikh: High 39°C – Feels like 41°C – Low 30°C
Rafah: High 34°C – Feels like 38°C – Low 22°C
