The East Alexandria Supply Department, headed by Reda Hassan and supervised by Ahmed Hassan, Nabil Askar, and Mahmoud Radwan, conducted intensive inspection campaigns in collaboration with the Consumer Protection Agency to ensure food safety.
The operations led to the seizure of 458 kg of minced meat stored in plastic bags without any labeling and showing clear signs of spoilage, making it unfit for human consumption. Additionally, a restaurant storage facility operating without a license was found containing 131 kg of meat without production dates or expiration, with altered properties.
These campaigns were carried out under the directives of Eng. Gamal Ammar, Director of Alexandria’s Supply and Internal Trade Directorate, to ensure that only safe and healthy food products reach consumers.
