Dr. Manar Ghanem, a member of the media center at the General Authority for Meteorology, warned of significant weather changes that the country will experience in the coming days. Egypt will begin to be affected by northern air masses coming from Southern Europe, passing over the Mediterranean Sea.

Stable spring weather and temperatures around average

In exclusive statements, Ghanem confirmed that tomorrow's maximum temperature will reach 32°C, noting that the weather will be stable and spring-like, with active winds over South Sinai and the Red Sea governorate. This will cause maritime navigation disturbances and wave heights that may reach up to 3 meters in the Red Sea.

Dense fog and strong winds... driving caution advised

She explained that dense fog will form on agricultural and highway roads, especially near water bodies leading to and from the Delta and northern governorates, as well as Greater Cairo and central Sinai. This requires caution while driving, emphasizing calmness and heightened attention.

Significant temperature rise starting Friday

As Friday approaches, the country will begin to record a noticeable temperature increase across most areas, affected by a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere accompanied by desert air masses. The peak will be on the upcoming Monday, with temperatures exceeding 38°C in Cairo, and reaching 42-43°C in Upper Egypt governorates.

Severe daytime heat and mild nights

Manar Ghanem added that the start of the week will be very hot during the day, ranging from warm to hot, with mild temperatures at night. Temperatures are expected to return to near-normal levels by next Tuesday.

Important advice for citizens

The media center member warned against direct exposure to sunlight, advising wearing head covers and drinking sufficient fluids to avoid heat strokes or dehydration. She also stressed the importance of driving carefully during foggy periods to prevent traffic accidents.
