The Director of Security in Dakahlia received a report from the Criminal Investigation Department about a complaint from village residents reporting the complete demolition of a family cemetery. The remains of three bodies were damaged, including a former village sheikh, a former general director, and a young child, which caused sorrow and anger among the locals. A team from the Mansoura police unit immediately inspected the site and found bones scattered among rubble and bricks, in a scene described by residents as painful and disrespectful to the sanctity of the deceased.

One of the affected residents stated that the cemetery was threatened by collapse and there had been an agreement to renovate it to protect the graves. However, one of his relatives, along with his brothers, strongly opposed this and went ahead to demolish the entire cemetery. He said, "We arrived to find our relatives’ remains scattered, as if their sanctity was violated. The scene was shocking."

The victims revealed that the dispute arose from a disagreement over land ownership, accusing seven relatives of deliberately orchestrating the incident.
