Azhar secondary students in the literary division resumed their final exams for the 2024/2025 academic year on Sunday by sitting for the English language paper. The exam was held under conditions of discipline and stability across committees nationwide, supervised directly by Dr. Mohamed Al-Duwaini, Deputy of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and Sheikh Ayman Abdel-Ghani, Head of the Azhar Institutes Sector.

Real-Time Monitoring from the Central Operations Room
As part of the rigorous oversight of the exam process, Sheikh Ayman Abdel-Ghani personally supervised operations from the sector’s central monitoring room, where all exam committees are observed through surveillance screens. This setup ensures strict control and a suitable exam environment for students.

Abdel-Ghani confirmed that the sector is closely following exam procedures in real time to ensure full compliance with instructions and to guarantee fairness. He emphasized the importance of providing a safe and stable setting for the students, in line with the directives of Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, who always stresses maximizing support and comfort for students.

On-the-Ground Inspections
Dr. Salama Dawood, President of Al-Azhar University, conducted an inspection visit to the Dr. Talaat El-Sayed Model Institute in Nasr City to assess the proceedings. He confirmed the high level of discipline and commitment inside the institution. Dawood noted that the Azhar secondary certificate is a pivotal milestone in a student’s academic journey, and that Al-Azhar spares no effort in creating optimal exam conditions through tight security, trained staff, and questions aligned with academic standards and curriculum content.

Dakahlia Field Visits
Meanwhile, Dr. Ahmed El-Sharqawy, Deputy Head of the Azhar Institutes Sector for Education Affairs, visited several exam committees in Dakahlia Governorate, including boys’ and girls’ committees in Mit Ghamr. He ensured that the exams were proceeding smoothly and that staff were diligently implementing all guidelines.

This year, a total of 173,808 students are sitting for the Azhar secondary exams, distributed across 577 exam committees nationwide. Among them are 73,094 scientific section students, and 100,714 literary section students (including 60,147 males and 40,567 females).
