The prosecution orders the burial of a child who drowned in the Nile River at Atfih after ruling out criminal suspicion.

The South Giza Public Prosecution ordered the burial of a child’s body who drowned in the Nile River in the Atfih area, after ruling out any criminal suspicion in his death. The health inspector’s report confirmed that the cause of death was suffocation due to drowning, while security investigations into the incident continue.
Security authorities received a report from the Atfih police chief about a drowning incident in the village of Al-Salihiya. Immediately, a river rescue team from the Giza Civil Protection, in coordination with the police chief, rushed to the scene, where the child’s body was found floating in the river.
The competent authorities succeeded in retrieving the body and transferring it to the morgue of Atfih Central Hospital under the prosecution’s custody, which carried out investigations and issued the burial permit. Meanwhile, security investigations continue to examine the circumstances of the incident.
