Microsoft has rolled out a new update for Copilot, introducing advanced features designed to boost productivity and streamline workflows across applications.
One of the key additions is a default export button for responses under 600 characters, allowing users to send generated text directly to Office apps like Word, Excel, or PowerPoint without manual copying.
Another significant improvement is the ability to connect Copilot to email accounts, including Outlook and Gmail. This optional integration can be enabled through the connectors section within the app.
Once linked, the AI assistant gains access to the inbox, enabling users to search for specific details such as company invoices or email addresses of contacts, enhancing efficiency and information retrieval.
This development reflects Microsoft’s goal of transforming Copilot into a unified hub for managing both personal and professional data, similar to the way AI tools integrate with cloud storage platforms like Google Drive and Dropbox.
