A tragedy struck the Hadaeq El-Qubba area in Cairo Governorate on Friday morning, when two adjacent buildings suddenly collapsed, causing panic and fear among the residents of the area. The scene prompted an immediate state of alert among the concerned authorities.

The details of the incident indicate that the Civil Protection Operations Room received a report from several residents about the collapse of the two buildings and the heavy rise of dust, along with fears of possible victims or injured people trapped under the rubble. Civil defense forces and land rescue teams rushed immediately to the scene, supported by the necessary equipment and tools to deal with such disasters.

The forces began clearing the debris and searching for anyone who might be trapped beneath the wreckage. Preliminary inspections and eyewitness testimonies indicated that one citizen, a tailor, was trapped inside his shop located beneath one of the collapsed buildings. Search and rescue operations are ongoing in an effort to reach and save the trapped individual, under close monitoring by security and executive leaders of the governorate.
At the same time, security forces established a cordon around the site to prevent civilians from approaching and to facilitate the work of rescue teams. Dozens of residents gathered around the site, anxiously awaiting the outcome of the search efforts.

An official report of the incident has been filed, and the necessary legal procedures are underway. The Public Prosecution and relevant authorities have been notified and have arrived at the site to begin investigations and examine the collapse site to determine its causes and circumstances.
