Investigations conducted by the South Giza Public Prosecution have revealed the harrowing details of a brutal murder in which a three-year-old girl named Logy was killed by a woman driven by theft. The crime took place in the village of Dahshur, in El-Badrasheen, where the suspect later dumped the child’s body in an agricultural field.

According to the detailed confession given by the accused, the incident occurred inside a bookstore near the victim’s home. The woman stated that she was working in the store when the child entered with two friends to buy sweets. After the other two left, she found Logy alone and decided to carry out her criminal plan: she strangled the child by submerging her in a large bucket of water until she died, in order to steal her gold earring.

The woman further admitted that she placed the body in a bag, took it home, and later dumped it in a nearby agricultural field. She then sold the stolen earring for money.
Once locals reported finding a child’s body inside a bag in the field, a security team led by Major Ahmed Yehia, head of El-Badrasheen investigations, launched an inquiry under the supervision of Colonel Hany Okasha and Brigadier General Mohamed Mokhtar.

Surveillance footage and investigations quickly led to identifying and arresting the suspect. During questioning by Major General Hany Shaarawy, Director of Giza Criminal Investigations, the woman confessed in full and revealed where she had sold the stolen earring.

The Public Prosecution ordered an autopsy to confirm the cause of death and allowed the burial after procedures. The suspect was remanded in custody for four days pending further investigation.
