Gradual Rise in Temperatures Due to Desert Air Masses
As Eid al-Adha approaches, many Egyptians are eager to follow weather updates to plan family visits and outdoor activities across the country during the holiday.

In this context, Dr. Manar Ghanem, a member of the Media Center at the Egyptian Meteorological Authority, stated that Egypt will witness a gradual increase in temperatures at the start of the holiday. She noted that this rise exceeds the normal averages typically expected during this time of year.

Expected Temperatures on the First Day of Eid
Ghanem explained that maximum temperatures in Greater Cairo from Thursday to Saturday are expected to range between 34°C and 36°C, indicating hot weather during daytime hours. In Upper Egypt, temperatures will be even higher, reaching very hot levels.



Reason for the Temperature Increase
The Meteorological Authority attributed the rise in temperatures to a high-pressure system extending in the upper layers of the atmosphere, coupled with the presence of air masses coming from desert regions. This combination results in hot weather in the north and extremely hot conditions in the south, while nighttime temperatures remain moderate in most areas.

Tips for Citizens During the Eid Holiday
The authority advised citizens to take necessary precautions during the daytime, especially on the first two days of Eid, including:

Avoid direct exposure to sunlight for extended periods.

Wear light, cotton clothing in light colors.

Stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

Forecasts indicate that the weather will be suitable for outdoor activities during nighttime, with relatively mild temperatures offering a comfortable holiday atmosphere.
