The prices continue at the same levels observed over the past two months, with no significant increase or decline. This stability comes as traders and consumers await the upcoming August pricing update, which may see minor changes based on local and international market dynamics.
Price Range Between Factory and Consumer
Current factory gate prices for steel range between EGP 38,000 and EGP 38,500 per ton, depending on the manufacturer and product quality. After adding transportation and distributor fees, the final price to the end consumer can reach up to EGP 40,000 per ton in some regions.
Al-Zeiny: Market Stable After Previous Increase
Ahmed Al-Zeiny, head of the Building Materials Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, confirmed that the steel market has stabilized following the last price increase. He noted that distributor prices now range between EGP 39,200 and EGP 40,000 per ton, indicating a balance between supply and demand.
