Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, is closely monitoring the developments of the collapse of two residential buildings in the Hadayek El-Kobba area, which also caused partial damage to a neighboring building. This comes amid a state of concern and anticipation among local residents, as civil defense forces continue their intensive efforts to clear the rubble and search for potential survivors or victims beneath the debris, using heavy equipment and all available means to accelerate the rescue operations.

In line with the minister’s directives, a full team from the Central Administration for Social Protection and the Cairo Directorate of Social Solidarity, in cooperation with Egyptian Red Crescent relief teams, was deployed to the site of the incident from the earliest moments. The tasks focused on providing urgent assistance to affected families, distributing essential relief supplies including food and clothing, and offering alternative shelter if needed, to ensure the safety of the affected citizens.
The minister also stressed the need to expedite the preparation of reports on the material and human losses and to identify the causes of the disaster in cooperation with the relevant technical authorities. Maya Morsi affirmed the ministry’s full commitment to providing all forms of social and financial support to those affected, noting that the ministry’s operations rooms continue to work around the clock to monitor developments and ensure an immediate response to any emergency.

The Minister of Social Solidarity called on all concerned parties to maintain full coordination to ensure the swift completion of rescue operations, provide comprehensive care for the victims and the injured, and alleviate the suffering of residents during this difficult time.
