On the occasion of the second Friday of the sacred month of Muharram, hope is renewed in the hearts of believers, and their longing for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness grows—especially since this day coincides with Tasu'a, one of the recommended days to fast in gratitude to Allah for saving His Prophet Musa (peace be upon him). Make us among Your servants who, when they call upon You, You answer, and when they ask, You give.
O Allah, make us among the repentant and among those to whom You have already promised Your favor.
Open for us the doors of goodness, and keep us away from all harm and evil.
Let this Friday be a fresh beginning in which our circumstances change for the better.
Write for us contentment, steadfastness, and uprightness on Your straight path.
Do not leave fear in our hearts except of You, nor hope in anyone but You.

The Virtue of Reciting Surah Al-Kahf on Fridays

Duas for the Day of Ashura
