On the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road near Sphinx Airport in Giza Governorate, a minibus overturned, injuring seven people with varying degrees of injuries. Immediately after the accident, ambulance vehicles were dispatched to transport the injured to the hospital for necessary treatment and first aid.
The incident began when the Giza Security Directorate received a notification from the emergency police about the minibus rollover and the presence of several injured individuals at the scene. A police force supported by ambulances quickly arrived at the accident site, where it was confirmed that seven people were injured due to the vehicle overturning. All injured were transferred to the hospital to receive medical care, while an official report was filed, and the Public Prosecution was notified to initiate investigations and uncover the circumstances of the accident.
In another incident on the agricultural road near Benha center in Qalyubia Governorate, a severe collision occurred between four cars, resulting in five people sustaining various injuries. Security agencies received a report of the accident and promptly dispatched civil defense teams and relevant authorities to the scene.
Investigations revealed that a Suzuki vehicle was driving against the traffic flow, coming from Cairo towards Benha, which caused a collision with a heavy truck before it fell into one of the irrigation canals. As a result, three other cars collided with the first vehicle, causing it to overturn and part of the cargo of a half-truck loaded with a large number of cartons to spill onto the road.
Five people were injured; three were taken to the Benha Health Insurance Hospital and two others to the Qaha Specialized Hospital for necessary treatment. The driver responsible for the accident fled the scene before the security forces arrived.
Rescue teams managed to recover the Suzuki from the canal, cleared the resulting traffic congestion, and removed the damaged vehicles and their loads to reopen the road for traffic flow.
Official reports were filed for both incidents, and the Public Prosecution was informed to carry out investigations to clarify all details and circumstances surrounding the two accidents.
