Ministry of Hajj Issues Warning: Strict Measures to Ensure Pilgrims' Safety on the Day of Arafah
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj warns pilgrims against sun exposure on the Day of Arafah and emphasizes the importance of following instructions to ensure safety.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has issued a series of important alerts and guidelines for pilgrims, especially concerning the Day of Arafah, one of the most significant rituals of Hajj.
The ministry urged pilgrims to remain inside the camps at the Arafat plain from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM to protect their safety and prevent the harmful effects of direct sun exposure and extreme heat.
It also warned pilgrims to avoid going to Jabal al-Rahmah and Masjid Namirah during these hours to prevent any health risks caused by the harsh weather conditions that could affect their well-being.
The ministry emphasized strict adherence to the approved crowd management schedules and warned against violating these schedules at all stages of movement between the holy sites. Walking during restricted times is prohibited, and pilgrims are urged to use official transportation means arranged to ensure everyone's safety.
As part of the organized Hajj system, the ministry stressed the importance of carrying the “Nusk” identification card at all times within the holy sites and presenting it upon request. This card is vital for identifying pilgrims and providing immediate support if needed.
The ministry also directed companies providing pilgrim services to ensure their clients comply fully with all instructions to guarantee safety and facilitate the performance of rituals in a secure and reassuring environment.
These measures are part of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and smooth movement of pilgrims during Hajj, especially with expected high temperatures, affirming that strict compliance with these instructions is the only way to ensure a successful and safe pilgrimage season for all.
