Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, stated that the large turnout of Egyptians and international visitors at the Grand Egyptian Museum is a source of pride and joy, highlighting positive scenes that reflect national pride and belonging 🇪🇬🏛️.
Madbouly added in a press conference that the state has leveraged the museum as a major economic driver, boosting Egypt’s economic growth and state resources. The high turnout was not limited to the museum, but also extended to the Pyramids area and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat.
However, the Prime Minister referred to some individual cases of negative behavior at the museum circulating on social media. He emphasized that such cases are minimal compared to the more than ten thousand daily visitors, and one or two incidents do not undermine the current system.
Madbouly stressed the importance of citizen awareness in protecting the property, saying: "I hope all Egyptians preserve our heritage, and if someone witnesses negative behavior, they should guide and advise their fellow citizens, so that our collective joy in this great achievement remains intact."
