The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has established a dedicated operations room to monitor the conditions of Iranian pilgrims around the clock. This initiative comes in accordance with directives from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to offering the highest level of care and service to the guests of Allah and ensuring their safe return after performing Hajj rituals.
Comprehensive Review of Accommodation and Services
The Ministry stated that its task forces have conducted a thorough review of all services provided to approximately 76,000 Iranian pilgrims in their residences in Mecca and Medina. The goal is to ensure continued high-quality care until their departure from the Kingdom.
A Coordinated Plan with Relevant Authorities
The Ministry confirmed that, in direct coordination with the relevant bodies, it has put in place a comprehensive plan to organize the departure of Iranian pilgrims. The plan aligns with the requests of the Iranian delegation responsible for Hajj affairs and aims to guarantee smooth procedures and seamless transportation for pilgrims throughout their journey.
Domestic Flights and Land Return
The approved plan includes transporting pilgrims from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina to Arar Airport. From there, they will proceed to the Jadidat Arar land border crossing to complete their journey back to Iran by land.
Ongoing Implementation and Continuous Support
According to Saudi reports, the plan has already been put into action as of Friday. Ministry of Hajj and Umrah teams continue to provide comprehensive care and direct services to Iranian pilgrims. This reflects the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to serving all pilgrims of the Holy Mosque without discrimination, underscoring its mission to serve Islam and Muslims worldwide.
