Sherif Fathy Reveals the Ministry’s Plan for Safely and Fully Organized Transportation of Tourism Pilgrims
The Minister of Tourism follows up on the final preparations to transport tourism pilgrims to Arafat, ensuring a safe and organized Hajj journey.
Sherif Fathy, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, continues his close and ongoing monitoring throughout the day of the final preparations to transport tourism pilgrims to the Arafat plain, the most important and fundamental pillar of the Hajj rituals. This follow-up is conducted through continuous real-time reports received from Samia Sami, Assistant Minister for Corporate Affairs, head of the official tourism Hajj mission, and chairperson of the Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah.
Full Egyptian Commitment to Pilgrims’ Comfort and Safety
The minister, in a statement, emphasized his strict instructions to the official tourism Hajj mission to exert all necessary efforts to ensure an organized and safe transport for the 40,672 Egyptian tourism pilgrims, providing the highest levels of service and comfort befitting the sanctity of this blessed journey.
He pointed out that the comfort and safety of the pilgrims are top priorities for the ministry, stressing the need for full coordination with the official Hajj mission led by Major General Ashraf Abdel Maati, Assistant Minister of Interior and head of the executive apparatus
of the ministerial Hajj committee, as well as coordination with the relevant Saudi authorities to ensure smooth movement and avoid any obstacles during the transport process.


Positive Evaluation of Season Organization and Comprehensive Field Preparations
The minister praised the efforts made by all organizing bodies, expressing satisfaction with the level of services provided so far, including the provision of equipped buses and camps agreed upon within the official programs.
He is also directly following the implementation of the work plan of the official tourism Hajj mission committees distributed across all camps, emphasizing the existence of quick-response mechanisms to handle any emergencies or complaints from pilgrims. He stressed the importance of intensive field presence inside the camps to ensure tourism companies strictly follow their scheduled programs.
He concluded his statements by affirming that the ministry will spare no effort to provide an exceptional and safe Hajj experience that reflects the professionalism of Egypt’s tourism Hajj system.
