Tomorrow's Weather: Noticeable Temperature Drop and Dust-Stirring Winds in These Areas

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has revealed its forecast for the weather on Sunday, confirming that the country will witness a gradual drop in temperatures across northern regions, including Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt, following the peak of the heatwave, which reached its height on Saturday.

Hot During the Day... Mild at Night

The authority indicated that the weather will be hot in Greater Cairo and the Delta region, extremely hot in South Sinai and southern parts of the country, and warm along the northern coast. Meanwhile, most areas will experience mild nighttime temperatures.

Dusty Winds and Rising Waves

Winds are expected to be active across most regions, potentially stirring dust and sand in exposed areas. Maritime navigation in the Gulf of Suez may be disrupted due to wind speeds ranging from 50 to 70 km/h and wave heights between 2.5 and 3.5 meters.

Expected Temperatures for Tomorrow:

Greater Cairo: 36°C high – 21°C low

Alexandria: 26°C high – 19°C low

Marsa Matrouh: 25°C high – 18°C low

Sohag: 46°C high – 26°C low

Qena: 47°C high – 28°C low

Aswan: 47°C high – 29°C low

Beginning of Gradual Cooling Trend

The authority noted that the gradual decrease in temperatures will begin Sunday, with a drop ranging between 5 and 7 degrees Celsius. Temperatures are expected to reach between 24 and 26 degrees along the northern coast, and between 33 and 35 degrees in Greater Cairo.

This change follows several days of extreme heat, prompting caution, especially for the elderly and children. It is advised to avoid direct exposure to the sun during peak hours.
