In an official statement posted on his personal page, El-Awady said:
“I am honored to represent Yassin, the victim in this case. On behalf of myself and the legal team appointed by the family, we reaffirm our commitment to fulfill our legal, professional, and humanitarian duty with full transparency and seriousness, in defense of the child’s rights and in pursuit of full justice.”
El-Awady emphasized that the case carries deep humanitarian and moral dimensions that go beyond a conventional trial, especially given that the crime took place within an educational institution, which adds a societal burden to confront such offenses decisively to protect children in what should be a completely safe environment.
He also extended his appreciation to fellow lawyers who have shown support and solidarity, urging everyone to coordinate closely with the official defense team. He stressed the importance of refraining from making any public or media statements until all legal proceedings are concluded, to ensure procedural integrity and safeguard the victim’s rights.
