Telegram has launched a fresh update packed with new features designed to enhance group video calls, streamline contact organization, and expand customization options — especially for Premium users and AI bot developers.

One of the standout features is the ability to send animated emoji reactions and temporary text comments during live video or group calls. These responses appear briefly on the screen, allowing participants to engage without unmuting. This functionality is currently available for calls with fewer than 1,000 participants via the “Message” button during a call.

Users can now add private notes to their contacts, such as where they met or job titles, which are visible only to them. In addition, while editing a contact, it's possible to suggest a birthday, triggering a notification for the other person to add it to their profile with a single tap. Users can also add their own birthday from the settings.

Telegram Premium users gain access to unique profile personalization tools. They can select predefined color themes or use gift-based backgrounds and icons. Some gifts also unlock exclusive reaction styles to personalize user interactions even further.

For AI and bot enthusiasts, the update includes improved support for threaded conversations, allowing bots to manage multiple topics simultaneously. Smart bots can now stream replies in real time instead of sending completed messages, enabling faster and more dynamic interactions.

These updates highlight Telegram's push toward a more interactive and customizable messaging experience, whether for casual users or power users alike.
