Arrest of 3 suspects for robbing a young man on the Al-Talbia Ring Road and recovering the phone.

The Ministry of Interior has revealed the details of an assault and robbery incident involving a young man on the Ring Road in the Al-Talbia area of Giza Governorate, as part of its ongoing efforts to combat crime and apprehend lawbreakers, particularly those who threaten public safety in vital areas and major roads.
The incident began when authorities received a report from a citizen stating he had been attacked by three unknown individuals while on the Ring Road. According to the victim, the assailants surprised him, used a bladed weapon to assault him and inflict bodily injuries, then stole his mobile phone and fled the scene on a motorcycle.
Criminal investigation units immediately intensified efforts to identify the perpetrators, conducting investigations and gathering information about the incident. Their efforts led to the identification and location of the three suspects, who were found to be residents of Giza with previous criminal records.
After securing the necessary legal approvals, a security team was dispatched and successfully apprehended the suspects. The weapon used in the attack was found in their possession, and they confessed to committing the crime with the intent to steal.
During interrogations, the suspects admitted to selling the stolen mobile phone to an individual known for purchasing stolen goods. That person was also identified and arrested, and the phone was recovered.
All necessary legal procedures were taken against the suspects, and they were referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation.
This incident highlights the Interior Ministry’s continuous efforts to combat lawlessness, pursue perpetrators of theft and violence, and maintain security on key roads that are heavily trafficked or serve as major transit routes, especially during peak hours.
The Ring Road is one of the most vital traffic arteries in Giza, with thousands of vehicles passing through daily. This necessitates a constant state of readiness from security forces to prevent such isolated incidents that cause public concern, particularly at night.
Well-informed security sources emphasized that the Ministry takes no leniency in addressing attempts to disrupt public order—whether through assaults on citizens or targeting their property. They added that security patrols are conducted daily around the Ring Road and adjacent areas, and coordination among various departments remains active around the clock to strengthen the security presence and prevent recurrence of such incidents.
In conclusion, the Ministry urged citizens to promptly report similar incidents or suspicious activity to ensure swift response and protection of lives and property. It reaffirmed that citizen safety remains a top priority and that it will spare no effort in firmly confronting any acts that threaten societal stability.
