The Grand Egyptian Museum Draws Huge Crowds: Over 12,000 Visitors on Its Seventh Day
The Grand Egyptian Museum continues to attract thousands of visitors daily since its public opening on November 4.
The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) welcomed more than 12,000 visitors today, its seventh day since opening. According to Dr. Ahmed Ghneim, CEO of GEM, visitor flow remains smooth, with around 17,000 visitors yesterday and an average of 19,000 daily since opening, reflecting strong local and international interest.
Ghneim emphasized that the growing global attendance highlights the museum’s status as a top cultural and tourist destination, with the administration committed to providing an exceptional experience for every visitor.
The museum was officially inaugurated on November 1 by the President of Egypt, attended by 79 official delegations, including 39 led by kings, princes, and heads of state and government. The museum opened to the public on November 4, coinciding with the centenary of King Tutankhamun’s tomb discovery. 🏺✨
