Twenty-five-year-old Hani Khaled Dawood, from Badrashin in Giza Governorate, has become a trending topic in recent hours after a video of him working as a delivery courier on foot went viral, showing his patience and dedication in facing hardships.

Cairo University announced granting Hani a full scholarship, an unprecedented humanitarian step that deeply moved the young man, who expressed his heartfelt thanks and great gratitude to the university president for this decision, which marked a turning point in his life.

In a special statement, Hani said, “I did not expect such great attention and support, and I thank God for this opportunity that has opened new doors of hope for me. I will work hard to improve myself and support my family, which includes five siblings.”

He added, “The university president contacted me by phone and assured me that his office is always open to me. He considers me an honorable example that reflects the spirit of the university. His words were like those of a caring father, advising me to remain dutiful to my parents as they are my true treasure.”

Hani also revealed details of an upcoming meeting with the university president, saying, “I am very happy about the invitation to visit, and I feel that I have a chance to radically change my future.”
